Here we go again!
It's NaNoWriMo! OK, not for another 2 months yet, but I'm so psyched up :). I'm normally be tempted to blog my prep journey, but I'll all really. 2 weeks in Scotland with a mini notepad from Venice and I have 24 glorious chapters of plot. That might be a little short, but I expect it to get longer as I go along. So now I'm faced with a decision. Edit Cold Spell (chapter 2 now available to neighbours only, might I add), iron the kinks out of this plan, or plan book 3! If I plan the last book I could be crazy and just write straight through from Nano until the series is finished. But that does have a risk of burn out.
So, here's the plan. I'm editing Cold Spell. The tentatively titled Blue Blood can stay in it's current form and get written start to finish Nov-Dec. Then I'll get beta readers for Cold Spell and plan book 3, Ice Age (gotta come up with some better titles!). Edit Blue Blood, write Ice Age, Beta test Blue Blood, re-edit Cold Spell, Edit Ice Age, Beta Ice Age, send Cold Spell to publishers, re-edit Blue Blood, re-edit Ice Age, get nasty letter from publisher about how crap Cold Spell is, cry, hide other books, crawl under rock, wait for NaNo, plan Shadowcaster trilogy, repeat until gibbering wreck.
How's that for a plan?!
